Ich arbeite in Leipzig als freie Typograf*in und Gestalter*in. Dabei setze ich den Fokus auf die analoge Gestaltung mit Schrift: Sign Painting, Kalligrafie und Letterpress.

Ich sehe die Druckkunst, Kalligrafie und Schriftmalerei als eine wichtige Schnittstelle zwischen Fläche und Raum und benutze sie, wie ein sensibles Instrument, um mich einem Thema zu nähern. Die grafische und haptische Ebene können sich parallel entwickeln. Die Bewegung des Blätterns, des Faltens oder Aufschlagens wird bewusst miteinbezogen. Die verschiedenen Materialien werden untersucht und ihre Fähigkeiten und Grenzen ausgetestet.

I work in Leipzig as a freelance typographer and designer. The focus of my work is on the analog design: sign painting, calligraphy and letterpress.

I see printmaking, calligraphy and letter painting as an important interface – between surface and space – and use it like a sensitive instrument to approach a subject. The graphic and haptic levels develop in parallel. The movement of leafing, folding or opening is consciously included. The various materials are explored and their capabilities and limitations are tested.
